ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a part-time or full-time student, undergraduate or graduate students, with priority of consideration given to employees and their dependents of Barksdale-Warrior Paper Company who plan to enroll in academic programs facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies; secondary consideration will be given to applicants from the West Alabama area, age 25 and older, who demonstrate satisfactory academic progress, and who are enrolled in programs facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies. ELIGIBILITY: Part- or full-time undergraduate or graduate student,
either currently enrolled or accepted for admission, who is an
Alabama resident and either an employee of, or the dependent of
an employee of, a member company of Alabama Natural Gas Association;
must be enrolled in at least one course facilitated through the
College of Continuing Studies during the school year in which
the award is received, demonstrate academic excellence, exhibit
outstanding leadership qualities, and establish financial need
to begin or continue his or her college education

Priority consideration will be given to applicants from Winston and Marion counties; secondary consideration will be given to deserving applicants who are enrolled in academic programs facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies; demonstration of financial need (not necessarily as defined by Federal guidelines) may also be a consideration for the award. ELIGIBILITY: Students starting or restarting programs of higher
education, regardless of past experience, who are support-staff
members (clerical/secretarial) of the College of Continuing Studies
working a minimum of 25 hours per week
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a part-time/full-time undergraduate or graduate student; currently enrolled or accepted for admission to the University of Alabama; intending to enroll in academic programs facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies during the term in which the award is received (with secondary consideration given to applicants in any other academic division), an Alabama resident, 25 years of age or older; demonstrate academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 majoring in a science-based curriculum, This scholarship is merit-based; financial need is not required. Priority will be given to residents from Etowah and Cherokee counties. Amount: Variable
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a University of Alabama student who is enrolled in the External Degree Program in the College of Continuing Studies who are either employees or dependents of employees of Big River Industries located in Marietta, Georgia. Second consideration will be given to students enrolled in other academic degree programs facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies who are either employees or dependents of employees of Big River Industries. ELIGIBILITY:This scholarship is awarded to a University of Alabama undergraduate or graduate student who is a resident of the state of Alabama, who is currently enrolled or accepted for admission and is pursuing a degree in business though programs facilitated by The College of Continuing Studies. ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a University of Alabama student, undergraduate or graduate, who is enrolled or accepted for admission to the Nursing program facilitated through the College of Continuing Studies. First priority will be given to students from Cobb County, GA or Etowah and Tallapoosa counties in the state of Alabama. Student must demonstrate financial need, but not necessarily as defined by federal financial aid guidelines. Amount: Variable
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student; part-time or full-time; enrolled in the External Degree (EXD) Program; 23 years of age or older. Preference will be given to students who have completed at least 12 semester hours of graded work under the auspices of the EXD Program and have a GPA of 2.0 or better. Priority will be given to undergraduate students who are taking at least one course through QUEST ( Quality University Extended Site Tele-courses) or other distance learning methods. Must demonstrate academic excellence (3.0 GPA/4.0 scale), and show financial need. Amount: Variable

ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a University of Alabama undergraduate or graduate student who is currently admitted or accepted for admission; who is currently in the Air Force or other U.S. Armed Forces, and pursuing a degree facilitated by the College of Continuing Studies, who is in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher). Preference will be given to persons stationed or employed at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL. Amount: Variable
King-Blackburn (Friends of the Alabama Gulf Coast) Endowed Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY: This scholarship is awarded to a University of Alabama undergraduate or graduate student who is currently admitted or accepted for admission; who graduated from high schools in Baldwin, Mobile, Escambia Counties or adjacent counties; who have incurred hardships as a result of hurricanes or other natural disasters; who is in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher) and pursuing a degree through programs facilitated by the College of Continuing Studies.
