Students in this class will learn the fundamentals of modern spectroscopic
techniques applicable to determining the structure of organic molecules
and related compounds. Both theory and application of infrared spectroscopy,
nuclear magnetic resonance, and magnetic spectrometry will be discussed.
The goal of this class will be to give you the tools to be able to interpret
IR, NMR, and MS data generated during the course of your research career.
This web page will provide you with links to handouts,
problem sets, answer keys, and resources for further study.
All handouts, problem sets, and exams are in PDF
format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the documents
