Information Resources
- Combined Spectra Problems
- NMR
- Structure
Elucidation by NMR in Organic Chemistry Book
available electronically from Wiley.
- NMR
Knowldege Base Directory of links to all things
related to NMR on the web.
- Proton
NMR Interpretation tool Another really cool
site. This requires a shockwave plug in, but it allows you to predict
NMR spectra and check your answer.
- Basics
of NMR A good background on the physics and
math of NMR transitions as well as the nuts and bolts of the NMR
experiment.
- Chem
Tutor A tutorial program to help students predict
proton and carbon chemical shifts. This is a downloadable program
for PC's only.
- NMR
Periodic Table Provides spin, abundance, sensitivity
and other NMR relevant parameters for all elements
- NMR
meets Musicans A fun and educational site. The
response of an NMR is in the hearing range for humans, and can be
used to make music.
- IR
- Mass Spectrometry
- i-Mass web
directory for the mass spectrometry community
- Spectroscopy Directories and Databases
NMR Processing
Both of the programs below are freeware that can be used by anyone at
no cost. Each program is relatively easy to use and come with necessary
manuals. You will need to use one of these programs to process raw data
taken on the Bruker spectrometer during the semester.
- Swan NMR:
NMR processing program for Mac platform
- MestRe-C: NMR processing
program for PC platform
