First, complete the on-line application to the Graduate School at their web site:



submit all materials by
the recommended deadline
January 15, 2006
we continue to review applications throughout the Spring Semester, but we urge you to complete the process by mid-January for the best chance of acceptance

 
Connect to the Graduate School site

Complete the required forms on-line and arrange to have transcripts and test scores sent to The Graduate School. The following elements are all destined for the Graduate School Offices:
  • applicant status sheet [should be submitted on-line]
  • statement of purpose [should be submitted on-line]
  • transcripts
  • test scores [either GRE or MAT]
  • fees [may be paid on-line with credit card]
In addition, you may download the forms for
Letters of Recommendation at the Graduate School site.
 
   

Second, send the following materials to the Creative Writing office.

  • three letters of recommendation
  • a writing sample

writing samples should include:

  • 30 pages of prose or
  • 10-20 pages of poetry or
  • a substantial representation of your work in both forms or in other forms, including digital media. Note: all manuscript samples must arrive snailmail: we cannot receive digital files. If you wish us to consider digital media as all or part of your sample, please contact the program director for guidelines.
