A word from our Outreach Director...
In keeping with our goals for ALMUN 2010, the Alabama International Relations Club is offering special programs for schools interested in sending delegations to our conference.
Part of my job as the Outreach Director is to cooperate with you and your school to facilitate the development of a delegation, whether or not your school already has standing Model UN, debate, or similar programs. In addition to the resources we will make available to you via this website, our ALMUN staff is available to set up personal meetings with you and the students at your school in order to assist in your program’s preparation for the conference.
These “crash-courses” can range in anything from Model United Nations debate procedure and skills to a simple question-and-answer session regarding the specifics of our conference. Because of our firm belief that this conference experience will be beneficial for your students, this service will come at absolutely no cost to your school or group and can be scheduled through collaboration between willing administrators and faculty, interested students, and our club members.
We plan to schedule such meetings all throughout October and November of this year, and again in January of next year. Of course they will be scheduled on a “first-come, first-serve” basis; given the time remaining between now and our conference, and to best serve the interests and needs of your potential delegates, please consider scheduling such a meeting as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you and working with you soon.
All the best,

Meredith Wildes
Outreach Director, Alabama International Relations Club 2009-2010
