The New College Farm Program
Advancing Sustainability at the University of Alabama Since 2001
New College's Farm Program is on the move. We have partnered with local sustainable farming pioneers Jean Mills and Carol Eichelberger of Tuscaloosa CSA since 2001 to learn about, promote, and practice the joys of local, organic, nutritious food. Now, in 2008, interest in what we do is stronger than ever, and we seek to expand our activities to represent the University's commitment to sustainability on campus and in our community. We hope to create an on-campus farm space for the use of our classes, for research, for student garden plots, as a focal point of sustainability, as a creative space. We hope to create community.
