Activity Listing for KamLAND PPO Samples, activated at MIT 3/21-22/2001

In this note we give a brief summary of the activities of the activated samples UA 9-15 and UA 19-27 (UA sample
designation NA 5).
The activities listed refer to 3/24/2001. We only list the principal activities as determined by gamma ray spectroscopy
using a shielded Ge detector. The trace element analysis is discussed on a separate page. The listed activities are given
in Bq. ND means not detected. Please note that the large Sb activities observed for
UA 15, 25, 26, 27 are located in the
plastic bags used as secondary containment for the samples.

Due to a PPO spill (into the secondary containment bag) in rabbit D samples UA 25, 26 and 27
where counted together. The measured combined
activity was then assigned in equal parts to each.
