“THE CHRISTIAN’S SECRET OF A HAPPY LIFE”

IS TONIGHT’S FCA PROGRAM TOPIC AT 9

Most college students have lived life with few setbacks, tragedies, hurts and heartbreaks.

However, up ahead are going to be trails and tests that will put your faith to the test. There may be broken relationships. Circumstances beyond your control may turn your life in a spin. Death may come to a loved one that may seem impossible to handle. You may suffer financial battles that will change your course. There are unlimited trials that anyone could face. The important thing is to prepare yourself in God’s provision as best as possible before the storms hit.

No one knows but God what lies ahead but as surely as we live, we will face unwanted and unexpected trails. Still, through it all, the Christian can find strength, peace and even happiness when those calamities come. Tonight Brother Dan Kilgore, our pastor friend who is a faithful contributor to our group, will discuss this subject. He is a retired Methodist minister and has experienced a lifetime of setbacks and sorrow in peoples’ lives where he has ministered. He will discuss the secret of happiness in it all.

Sooner or later, life is going to present some painful days. Yet, there is a hope and a promise as found in Psalms 66:10-12: “For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver. You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs. You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.”

Come tonight for an uplifting and refreshing message from Brother Dan. FCA is at 9 at the College Annex of Calvary Baptist Church, one block from the stadium.

“It’s been a great six years. When you’re a Christian, you kind of look at things from a different perspective. Some things are supposed to be bad, even though they’re sad, they don’t necessarily strike you as bad times. That’s how I look at things today”…Coach Tony Dungy fired by Tampa Bay and hired this week by the Indy Colts

January 22, 2002 marked the 29th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade case in our nation that legalized abortion. Since then 40 million babies have been aborted. Seven years ago, Norma McCorvey, the Roe of the case, was converted to Christianity and has worked against abortion ever since.
