9/11 ATTACK 6 MONTHS AGO PUT RELIGION
ON THE FRONT PAGES OF OUR NEWSPAPERS,
THAT’S TONIGHT’S FCA TOPIC AT 9
The September 11, 2001 attack on American put religion back on the front pages of our newspapers. It brought religion to the forefront of the news. It is back on the streets. Like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the Book of Revelation, theology came riding on four airliners filled with human beings, and filled with hate and fuel.
We remember how our churches increased significantly the next two or three Sundays. Attendance was up. The scare caused nominal church goers to seek God in worship for whatever reasons. The crisis affected everyone. Many turned to faith. The crisis caused bookstores to hit all time highs in sales.
Bibles in Christian and secular books stores sold out quickly. Books on Bible prophecy were in great demand. Desecration, Jerry Jenkins #9 book in the Left Behind end times series, topped John Grisham fiction books for the first time as the No. 1 bestseller. American citizens also bought up every book on the market about the Islamic religion, the religion of the terrorists. Since the attack, more books have been published for the public demand on these and other religious subjects.
Tonight we will continue where advisor Wayne Atcheson left off last week on how all of this fits into Bible prophecy. Come, be informed and challenged in sharing our faith to those around us who are not sure about their final destination. FCA meets at 9 at the College Annex on Bryant Drive across the street from Calvary Baptist.

“God already knows who is going to win the 2002 NCAA basketball championship. He already knows the final score and how many points each player will score. You must know that God knows everything about you and cares enough for you that He sent His only Son to die on the cross that you could spend eternity with Him”…David Smale, editor of FCA’s Sharing The Victory magazine.
“Who am I? How can I make a difference? Just as we’re born yearning for relationships, we’re born craving to know our larger purpose”...Winifred Gallagher
“We encounter God’s presence in moments of awe and wonder, in acts of justice and compassion, in loving relationships & in the experiences of everyday life”..Unknown
“The Lord will work out His plans for my life—for Your lovingkindness, Lord, continues forever. Don’t abandon me – for You made me”…Psalms 138:8
