EASTER MESSAGE TONIGHT AT 9 O’CLOCK
BY FORMER TIDE FULLBACK/NOW PASTOR MARTIN HOUSTON
Sunday is Palm Sunday as Spring Break begins so tonight we will celebrate Easter early with a resurrection story message from Martin Houston, a local pastor and former Alabama fullback.
Martin was the Crimson Tide’s fullback on the 1992 national championship team. Today he pastors University Worship Center on The Strip. It is a church he organized three years ago to reach college students who are looking for new life in Jesus Christ. He also serves as Senior Data Specialists for Communication Network Cooperation. He and his wife Cassandra have three children and live in Tuscaloosa.
A punishing fullback as a runner and blocker, Martin came to Alabama from Centre, AL and earned four letters. One of his career highlights came against Auburn in 1990. Martin led an offensive surge that sparked a 16-7 victory.
Martin has a heart for college students and will deliver a message on Easter that will bless your heart. Attend tonight at the College Annex across from Calvary Baptist.
