“WHY CHRISTIANS NEED TO GET INVOLVED”
IS TONIGHT’S FCA TOPIC AT 9 O’CLOCK
The future of this nation belongs to you. There is a mighty effort out there to take God off of radio, television and out of public places. The United States Supreme court voted in favor of child pornography last week.
It was some 30 years ago that Bible Reading and Prayer was taken out of the schools in America. It was also at that time that abortion was legalized. Most citizens woke up one morning and read the headlines without notice or warning.
“The trends which all of us have been disturbed about in the last 30 years, will accelerate and eventually reach a point where I believe it will be impossible to maintain our democracy,” says Gary Bauer, president of the Family Research Council.
We face many social evils in our day. A Christian view of justice demands that we be socially and politically involved. It is the role of the church to hold government accountable to a higher standard. If we won’t do it then government becomes the final authority in society, and that is idolatry.
Tonight, lecturer and author John Eldredge points out in this video presentation, WHY CHRISTIANS NEED TO GET INVOLVED. You will come to understand our cultural decline and why Christian action is not only appropriate but imperative. Eldredge presents the biblical mandate for our social and political involvement and service.
FCA meets tonight at 9 at the College Annex on Paul Bryant Drive. Find out tonight how you can make our nation a better place for you and your children.
