Four Alabama athletes served as huddle leaders at the FCA Camp on June 10-16, 1995 at the Blue Ridge YMCA Assembly in Black Mountain, N.C. Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, held a West Alabama festival in Coleman Colesium on the University of Alabama campus on April 30th through May 2, 1999. Some 4,000 volunteers participated in the three night festival services. An average of 17,000 people attended with the overflow crowd seated in the indoor football building. Franklin's team, headed by Festival Director Wendell Rovenstine, led in the 10-month preparations that resulted in 3,800 decisions for Christ. Many FCA athletes, coaches and athletic staff participated as counselors, choir members, ushers, and numerous other roles. Wayne Atcheson, FCA Advisor, was Executive Chairman of the Festival.
