About BamaPAWS

BamaPAWS is an organization on The University of Alabama campus dedicated to helping the animals in the Tuscaloosa community. We work with our parent oranization, T-Town PAWS, to raise money for the spay/neuter program that pays for spay/neuters for pet owners with low incomes. Our goal is to decrease the number of animals that are sent to Metro Animal Shelter due to animal overpopulation. BamaPAWS participates in other events throughout the year to raise awareness of the overpopulation issue. We go into schools and teach children what to do if they are approached by a stray animal and how to care for their own pet. We also volunteer at the Pet Supplies Plus adoption room to help with adoptions and to feed the puppies and kittens.
