The purpose of these presentations is to present a coherent account of how an issue of social discontent developed into a social protest movement primarily through the use of rhetoric in its various forms. Consequently, before organizing the group's formal presentation, you collectively will need to consider at least the following questions:
Once the group has generally reached some agreement on these issues, then individual assignments may be made as to who should present what material in class. Thus, everyone in the group will need to research the movement as a whole to be able to make some decisions about the group presentation.
Each student will be evaluated individually in three areas:
On the day of the group presentation, each student should have ready to submit evidence of his/her individual research and preparation. Specifically, such evidence should include (but is not limited to) the following: 1) a complete list of references, using proper bibliographic form, and 2) a specific outline and supporting notes for the individual presentation. NOTE: These materials should be submitted at the beginning of class. Be sure to print a copy of the following evaluation form and attach it to the materials. |
