CRITIQUING MEDIATED COMMUNICATION

WebCT

Students registering for the class will be added to the WebCT course environment automatically, if they already have a WebCT account established or a Bama I.D. Those who do not must contact one of the instructors to get an account and receive an orientation to WebCT.

Entry to all WebCT courses is accessed at <http://webct.ua.edu>.

This course will be listed in the College of Communication and Information Sciences, as COM 395, Critiquing Mediated Communication.

Our primary medium for communicating before the official start of Interim will be computer-mediated writing. Specifically, all course work before May will take place in the course designated WebCT environment.

Through the computer-based process of instructor feedback, peer reviews, self-assessment, and electronic presentation of their ideas, students should come to view writing as a critical process, not merely as a product.
