Enhancing the Quality and Diversity of the UA Chemistry PhD Program
sponsored by The University of Alabama and a Grant from the US Department of Education
The Alabama chemistry department is looking for talented students who are ready to earn a PhD in chemistry in our vigorous and growing program. We offer research opportunities in all areas of chemistry, including interdisciplinary projects in energy capture and storage, green chemistry, and biological chemistry.
Fellowship requirements:
*student must be US citizen or US permanent resident
*standard application and admission to Alabama Chemistry PhD program required
*complete GAANN application form and FAFSA (see application link)
*historically underrepresented groups such as Women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply
Graduate Fellowships in Areas of National Need
The Chemistry Department at the University of Alabama offers GAANN Fellowships for incoming graduates students
*up to $30,000/yr stipend
*tuition covered
*health insurance included
*new laptop computer provided
