BIOGEOCHEMISTRY

My interests are broad but follow the focus of Carbon and Nitrogen biogeochemical cycles, and how they are being impacted by climate change.  We work in a variety of environments, from headwater streams, large rivers, coastal ocean, and the tundra ecosystems.  We use stable isotopes to investigate how C and N are used and transformed at scales varying from a leaf to an ecosystem.  Students in my group work with the latest analytical techniques and have the option of working in a variety of environments.
