Registration
To register for the workshop and request time for a presentation, send an e-mail to one of the organizers ( Jerry Busenitz, Maury Goodman, Yuri Kamyshkov, Andreas Piepke). Participants from outside the US who would like assistance in making local travel and lodging arrangements should feel free to contact Jerry Busenitz.
A registration fee of 150 USD will be collected from each participant upon arrival at the workshop. Payment may be made in cash or by check drawn on a US bank.
Travel
The nearest major airport is Birmingham (BHM) . Driving time between the Birmingham airport and the UA campus is about 1 hour. Here is also a hand-drawn map showing the location of the conference center and some nearby landmarks. Besides car rental agencies, shuttle service is available, .e.g. Birmingham Door-to-Door (205-591-5550, reservations required).
Lodging
We have reserved blocks of rooms at the Four Points Hotel , located about one block from the conference center, and at the University Hampton Inn, located about one mile from the conference center. The rate is 79 USD/night at both hotels. Reference "Neutrino Workshop" to get a room in the block reservation. The block reservation at Four Points expires April 4 and the block reservation at the Hampton Inn expires April 1. Click here for more info on lodging in the Tuscaloosa area.
Parking is available near the conference center. Transportation between the Hampton Inn and the conference center will be provided to those who request it.
Meals and Refreshments
Coffee, tea, and soft drinks will be made available throughout the day. Rolls, cookies, etc. will be provided for meeting breaks in morning and afteroon. Many restaurants are located within walking distance of the conference center. Additional information on restaurants will be provided upon arrival at the Workshop.
Conference Facilities
Projectors for transparencies and computer-based presentations (VGA) will be provided. A limited number of ethernet connections for laptops will be available in the main meeting room. Several PCs suitable for e-mail and printing and a networked postscript printer (black and white) will be set up in an auxiliary meeting room.
