The College of Continuing Studies receives annual support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and professional associations. Most annual gifts are unrestricted gifts for use at the discretion of the Dean of the College or Director of a specific division in the College. Annual gifts are often pledged to be given each year; some are given only once.
The College has established the following annual giving levels for donors who wish to make annual pledges (gifts are made to the Capstone Lifelong Learning Society).
$30 (Contributor)
$50 (Joint Contributor w/spouse)
$100-$249 (Associate)
$250-$499 (Patron)
$500-$999 (Benefactor)
$1,000-$4,999 Director's Circle)
$5,000-$9,999 (Dean's Circle)
$10,000+ (The 1831 Circle)
Note: Active members of the University Alumni Association receive service point credits ($1=1 point) for all gifts to the College of Continuing Studies and Capstone Lifelong Learning Society when ordering football tickets through the Alumni Association Office.
Major One-Time Gifts to the College of Continuing Studies
To help the College extend lifelong learning opportunities of The University of Alabama., private support is continually needed for a variety of programs. Click below to see a list of major needs of the College that could be funded in a one-time gift.
Annual Gifts to the External Degree Association
The College's External Degree Program is supported by a special group within the Capstone Lifelong Learning Society. This support group is called the External Degree Association, and individuals may join the Association by making contributions at the annual giving levels described above. Various benefits and opportunities are made available to contributors, based on the level of contribution.
