The Tuscaloosa Winds/University of Alabama Campus Band is finally packing it up and passing our baton to a new era of music making. Opportunities for playing are abundant today when compared with those early years. Our University now includes three major concert bands, the Million Dollar Band, Pep Bands, instrument choirs, jazz bands, and orchestras, thus providing ample opportunities for students to make music together. There are also several new community groups forming including the Tuscaloosa Youth Wind Symphony and the Alabama Winds. We encourage you to explore all of these exciting opportunities to perform with other musicians.
We thank everyone for your generous support, gifted musicianship, and most importantly...your friendship through the years. If there is anything we can do to help you find a new home for making music at the University of Alabama, please do not hesitate to ask.
All the best,
Associate Professor of Music Education
