Bridge to Doctorate

Positions still available for Fall 2008-Apply early for consideration

The Department of Chemistry is a proud participant in the Alabama LSAMP program. We strongly encourage all eligible students to apply for graduate studies under this program.

The Bridge to Doctorate provides support for eligible students from schools in the LSAMP alliance to pursue masters degrees in science and engineering. Students will receive a $30,000 stipend along with full remission of tuition and fees during their first two years.

Students continuing on to the PhD program will be supported as RAs or TAs. Earning a masters in this program will not lengthen the time to PhD if you earn both with the same mentor.
