Research Interests

Molecular electronics: electrical conductivity of organic single crystals, Langmuir-Blodgett films, and polymers; organic unimolecular rectifiers and other "zero-dimensional" devices. Crystal structures, and crystal binding energies for organic donor-acceptors, inorganic high-temperature superconductors and other oxides.

Experiment:
(a) Langmuir-Blodgett films of donor-sigma-acceptor molecules
(b) electrical conductivity and superconductivity; SQUID magnetometry
(c) crystal and molecular structures
(d) new organic one-electron donors and acceptors
(e) scanning tunneling microscopy, ellipsometry
(f) magnetic nanoparticles
(g) nonlinear optics

Theory:
(h) Madelung energies and cohesive energies of organic and inorganic ionic crystals and superconductors
