Tenure track Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry - 0802605

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA seeks an outstanding individual with expertise in organic chemistry to fill a tenuretrack position at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in chemistry or a related field and to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program. Commitment to excellence in both undergraduate and graduate education is required. Opportunities exist for individuals within the full scope of organic chemistry including synthesis, physical organic chemistry, macromolecular science, and bioorganic chemistry. The successful candidate will initiate a program that complements or supplements the University's interdisciplinary efforts in synthesis, materials, energy, catalysis, nanoscience, environmental science, or materials for bio- and pharma- applications.
