Free Radicals From The Ground Up

A Mini-Symposium honoring Professor Lowell D. Kispert
April 16th, 2009

The Department of Chemistry of The University of Alabama invites you to attend an afternoon mini-symposium Free Radicals From The Ground Up April 16th, 2009 to celebrate the career of Lowell Kispert on the occasion of his recent retirement after 40 years of service at The University of Alabama.

The Symposium will be held in room 151 Shelby Hall on the campus of The University of Alabama, from 3:00 PM, and will feature scientific presentations from four of Lowell’s students and collaborators:

The celebration will continue at dinner in the historic University Club.  After dinner there will be an opportunity to swap LDK recollections, including some from Lowell’s postdoctoral advisor and from faculty who welcomed him to the University.  There are ways to participate even if you are not able to attend; follow the links below.

The Symposium is free to the public.  Dinner will be $25 per person, reservations are due April 9, but space is limited.

We do not have contact information for all of Lowell’s former students, postdocs and colleagues.  Please spread the word.
