| Semester Wrap-Up |
|
Fall 2004 is coming to a close, and I hope y'all have a good exam week and Christmas break. First off, I'd like to thank everyone for their hard work this semester. We've completed almost 2000 hours since April, but keep working because our goal is 3500. I feel confident that we can reach this, so please keep doing service. Thanks to everyone who came to help with Luminaries last week. It's sad that the weather was not in our favor, but we were still able to collect donations from the community, so we can give Partlow a check. We had an interclub with Shelton at our Dead Week Social, and a lot of y'all were there. I hope you had as much fun as I did and walked away with a good Dirty Santa gift. Last Friday, we caroled twice, once at our nursing home and once with Shelton (where we also had an interclub and got our gavel back!). It was a good time, and I know the residents appreciated our singing. There's also another interclub opportunity with Shelton at their Luminaries this Tuesday, December 14, beginning at 10am. They'll be doing about 700 lumes, and they would love our help. They'll be lighting them around 5, so let me know if you can help. Yet ANOTHER interclub opportunity is this Friday evening, December 17, at Shelton's Christmas party. It will be at Brittany's (their president) house, so email me for directions. Lastly, on January 5 (the first day of classes), we will be having a dessert and board game social at Bob and JW's apartment in place of our regular meeting. It'll be at 7:30 at the Downs, and I'll send out a reminder (with a catchier name) closer to the date. Good luck on your finals, and I hope y'all have a safe holiday!
