DCON was great (thanks, Steven!), and a good time was had by all. The two main purposes of DCON are to recognize club achievements and elect a new board, and our club was well-represented in both of these areas. I hope all y'all have the chance to go next year. We won several awards this year. We brought home Honorable Mention for Single Service and First Place for Kiwanis Family Relations, Service Initiative, Club Achievement, and Scrapbook. We were awarded the Man Mileage Award, Percent Attendance Award (50% to DCON), and Circle of Fellowship. We also had 10 members receive GEM awards for their service hour totals. Bob Boylan was a Distinguished Club Vice President, Anna Dickey a Distinguished Club Secretary, and Rachel Wehner a Distinguished Club President; Rachel was also named the Outstanding Club Officer. Caitlin Knowles received the Outstanding Other Administration Award, Jessica Pearce was the Outstanding General Member, and Cathy Collier received the Walker Curry Memorial Award. Bob Boylan was named the Outstanding District Committee Chair, and Steven Yates and Rachel Wehner received Governor's Support awards. Thank you all for being such great members! Bob Boylan is the new District Governor, Laura Osburn the District Treasurer, Jason Spencer the District Editor, and Caitlin Knowles the Warrior Division Lieutenant Governor. Congratulations to these board members who begin their term on April 1.
