volume 2.1, 2001The Harlot's Curse: A Study of William Blake's Gender Politics in The Songs of Innocence and Experience
Renaissance Tragic Queens: Authority and Reputation in Cary, Marlowe and Shakespeare
Pedagogy and the Good G(r)ay Poet: Teaching Sexuality in Whitman's Texts
The second installment of egotistics sees three articles whose subject matter ranges from the Renaissance to the 21st century classroom. We are especially pleased to present an essay on pedagogy--most of us are teachers also, and the combination of pedagogy and careful reading is a welcome extension of the range of the essays we hope to publish.
For their help in getting this second volume up, thanks to all those who submitted their work. Thanks to the readers here at The University of Alabama, again especially to Lea Davis. I'd like to reiterate my hope that you will enjoy the essays here presented, and consider submitting your own work for publication. We look forward to your submission and welcome your suggestions.
