Message from Madame President
Well, wow! First off, I want to welcome all of our new members. I got to meet a bunch of you over the summer at orientation, during Alabama Action, at the rocking convocation and hanging out at New Hall. Old members, welcome back! I hope to continue all the fun from last year.
New this year to New Hall are the fabulous bulletin boards brought to you by HPSA! Wendell created a special application and information room, designed to keep you informed and help prepare you for interviews. The board next to the front door features sports and upcoming HPSA events. Also, don’t forget to read the UHP-L to stay informed about scholarships, sports, and events.
Get involved on campus this year! Tomorrow you can come say hello at Get On Board Day, where all campus organizations set up tables on the Quad. Our table will feature HPSA (of course), ambassador information and fruity freeze pops (yummy!). Also, freshmen don’t forget to apply for Freshman Forum and Emerging Leaders.
Based on what I heard from Amity and Mike, if the HPSA football team had played on Saturday, things might have gone differently. Lets all show up to cheer them on for their first game. We can even do the wave!
One more thing-- don’t forget to pay dues, $10 for the year. You can pay Bradley or leave a check at Temple Tutwieler. Just think, only $10 for free pizza once a month and free food before football games! What a great investment.
