In collaboration with others, HRD provides leadership by offering access to learning experiences that promote performance improvement and professional development, and by facilitating organizational learning to help the University achieve its mission and vision. Information and opportunities are available for new employees, current employees, managers and supervisors.

	Faculty and staff register online for orientation and training courses offered through HR Development.
	SkillPort: Faculty and staff have on-demand access to a desktop skills catalog of web-based courses designed to enhance professional development. Employees log in using their myBama user name and CWID for the password. Other curriculum licenses are available for a cost. To see the additional course available, click here.
	Employees access training tutorials for administrative systems, update personal employment records with Banner Self-Service, view resources on health and well-being, and access general campus information through myBama.
	Your Employee Assistance Program provides one-on-one confidential support and training. To access articles, tips, self-assessment, and skill-building tools click EAP and enter UA as the username.
	UA identified core competencies critical to its short-term and long-term success. Core competencies are behaviors or values relevant to all staff employees and are an integral part of A's vision and culture. HR Development supports these competencies through training.
	The Capstone Awards honor individual employees, departments, or teams for their exemplary performance, winning spirit, exceptional customer service, and enterprising ways.
