The Center for Social and Policy Studies (CSPS) conducts research on a variety of social science issues and problems.  The primary activities of the CSPS include the development and submission of proposals to external funding agencies and the conduct of such research when funding is obtained.  Staff also participate in non-funded research which meets their programmatic research goals as well as advise state and local governments and non-profit agencies on policy issues related to their research.  Members of the Institute staff take the lead role or play support roles in the development of funding proposals.  Most of these reflect an orientation toward research in health and human services.  Some of the projects represent collaboration with other University researchers and some involve collaboration with state and local government or non-profit agencies.
