GM2:34
LV015/020 |

GM
lists this as for piano with flute, and speculates that Latour is
the most likely arranger of the version in Austen. LV015/020
is similar to that described in GM, and includes the flute part.
It also includes an arrangement for piano duet. There is another
piano duet arrangement at LV111/022. There are many things in
LV called 'Nightingale', only these two 'military rondo' versions
are related to the one in Austen. |

Tipling Philosophers (Diogenes surly and proud) |

I
have not found this in LV, nor have a found a version like that described
in GM. However, it does appear on AmericanRevolution.org,
under the title 'Diogenes surly and proud' (Drinking Songs section.)
This version was published in 1783. |

The
versions in LV are not exactly like Austen, but it is the same tune
and words. I have an arrangement of this which I will post.
