| I
am in the process of creating a site about Jane Austen's music,
as a resource for people like me who want to play/sing/study the
music Jane Austen played, but don't have access to the Austen music
notebooks held by the Austen Memorial Trust at Chawton.
See About
AMOnline for an explanation of my Austen Music project and the
AMOnline site.
See Getting
Started for information on how to get started finding music
and using this site. (Or go to Quick Guide
and read the rest later.)
See The
Austen Music for information and links to Austen music
that can be found online. The music links are organized
by composer, and there is also a list
of titles by GM number, and a list
of composers. (See Abbreviations
for an explanation of GM number, LV number, OC number and other
abbreviations used on this site.)
The section
Other Music will include info about music in the Austen movies,
about Austen music CDs I like, about other period music I've found
that is not in the Austen music notebooks but worthy of note.
The section
Links will include links for finding music
online, links for ordering useful books and music, and links related
to the project.
The section
Performances will include information about music performances.
This site originated
from a project for the Jane
Austen Society of North America - Alabama Chapter (AustenAL).
NOTE:
This site is very much a work in progress. But if
you found your way here already, send
me e-mail, let me know how you like it, and what you would most
like to see.
