Bazelon Case; Washington pled Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity(NGI) to rape, Robbery, assault; found Guilty; appealed because Psychiatrist for Defendant said mentally ill (2 for prosecution said no)- Court. said no, jury decides- expert CAN'T testify to Ultimate Question- this is a minority opinion, most courts want full testimony, as long as logical & explained; DURHAM rules were in effect.
