US SUPREME COURT
Yeskey was sentenced to 18-36 months, but was recommended to go to Boot Camp, which
could lead to parole in 6 months. He was refused due to a history of hypertension. He sued
under ADA for being denied 'benefits' due to a 'qualified individual with a disability.'
The Supreme Court unanimously held that prisons and programs such as this fall squarely
within the provisions of the ADA, and such indiviuals must be allowed to have the benefits
of the programs.
