Welcome to the CH 237 homepage. This site will serve as a repository for all class materials, announcements, and a source of resources to help you succeed in organic chemistry lab. I would encourage you to use this site, as many students have found it to be a valuable resource.

The focus of CH 237 is two-fold: 1) to reinforce concepts learned in CH 231 and 232; 2) to teach basic synthetic organic chemistry lab techniques. A basic knowledge of organic chemistry is assumed, so I would encourage you to review your notes from organic chemistry.

The text for this course is Operational Organic Chemistry, 3rd Ed. by John W. Lehman. In addition to the bookstore, this book can be purchased on line: Amazon | Froogle

All materials are in PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the documents on this page.
