The miracle of Dionysus' birth: Here the god is coming out of Zeus' thigh, already crowned with ivy. He is stretching his hands toward Hera, who is bending over to take him to her arms. Pan is watching everything, startled, while to the left is Aphrodite with Cupid, and to the right Apollo and Artemis. Below is Hermes, the nymphs, and a satyr.
