Old Age
Herakles is represented as the man who beat Old Age. He has grabbed Geros, the personification of old age, and is ready to kill him with his club. Herakles did not only rid the earth of beasts and monster, but also various evils of everyday life, like diseases, and so he hand the name Alexikakos, he who wards off evil. [pelike 480]
