An innovative depiction of Herakles deification. The hero is lying on his couch in an obvious state of ecstasy and blessedness in front of a table loaded with goodies, as if a banquet. A vine laden with grapes is surrounding him and protecting him with its shade. Athena is standing in front of the hero offering him a red flower and looking at him with affection.
