...to official site of the Learning and Development Special Research Interest Group (SRIG). Our organization is open to all members of NAfME: The National Association for Music Education. In addition to this website, we communicate with our members through email and our electronic newsletter. The entire membership meets every two years at the national conference of NAfME to hear research presentations by some of the leading scholars in the field and to discuss SRIG operations.
The mission of the Learning and Development SRIG is to encourage, promote, and disseminate research and data based information concerning the development and/or maintenance of music skills and knowledge. Music skills are defined as those used in creating, performing, and/or listening to music at any age.
To become a member of the Learning and Development SRIG, just send a message to NAfME Member Advocacy Resource Manager Nick Webb noting that you'd like to join the L&D SRIG.
