Research
My primary research interest is infinite group theory. I have worked on the following topics:
- Formation theory and Fitting classes
- Wreath products
- Burnside problems
- Automorphism groups
- Wielandt subgroup of a group
- Groups with rank restrictions on subgroups
- Groups with various minimal or maximal conditions
- Products of groups
- Groups with subgroups satisfying certain properties
- Linear groups satisfying certain finiteness conditions
I have had the privilege to collaborate with several world-class group theorists including Jim Beidleman, Olga Dashkova, Martin Evans, Tom Fournelle, Leonid Kurdachenko, Ikseung Lyou, Viatcheslav Obraztsov, Javier Otal, Myron Rigsby, Derek Robinson, Hyunyong Shin, Howard Smith, Stewart Stonehewer, Mike Tomkinson and Jim Wiegold. Teaching
If you are a current student of mine then here you may find some information (which is updated from time to time) such as office hours for this semester and so on. Each course listed has the syllabus, homework, some tests (where applicable) and so on. Just click on the course number and you will be guided to the information that you want.
