Wendy Rawlings is a native of Long Island, NY who has lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for eight years. She is the author of a collection of short stories, COME BACK IRISH, and a novel, THE AGNOSTICS. Her essays and fiction have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, AGNI, Tin House, Fourth Genre, The Cincinnati Review and other magazines. She teaches in the MFA program in Creative Writing at the University of Alabama and shares a draughty old house with her husband, the poet Joel Brouwer, and three convivial black dogs.
