An integral
part of the teaching of CLIDA
are the extracurricular activities that allow students to participate
in Italian life and culture.
Guided
Visits
Tours of the city of Florence are given in simple Italian so
even beginners will understand. There are visits to the museums,
churches, monuments and squares of one of the most beautiful
cities in the world.
Trips
Every month, on weekends, the school organizes daytrips (in
private buses) in order to visit and explore the squares, streets
and artistic beauty of important towns in northern and central
Italy, such as, Ravenna, Pienza, Siena, S.Gimignano, Pisa, Volterra,
Urbino, Perugia, Assisi, as well as the splendor of the Chianti
and Castelli countryside.
THE GARDENS OF VILLA GAMBERAIA
IN SETTIGNANO
Settignano is an ancient
village nestled in the hills near Florence where Michelangelo
was raised as a child. We will take a stroll through the village
and reach the beautiful gardens of Villa Gamberaia, a seventeenth
century private villa with an exceptional panorama of Florence.
SIENA and SAN GIMIGNANO
Two of the most picturesque sites in Tuscany, Siena is known
for its beautiful thirteenth century cathedral, and San Gimignano
is a medieval jewel with ancient city walls and towers intact.
