Macintosh Slavic Fonts and Keyboards
This page is not a complete collection of all Slavic fonts and keyboards
available for the Macintosh. It is intended to provide a location for stuff
not easily available and to give George Fowler a place to put his latest
creations.
Cyrillic Fonts
Apple Standard Cyrillic Fonts. These are fonts created by Apple
Computer as part of their international system 7 software. These are available
from Apple's FTP site at "ftp.apple.com".
If you want just the fonts, download
disk three. If you want to install the full Russian version of System
7, download everything in this folder. If you wish full information on
Russification of your Macintosh, you should visit the following sites.

George Fowler's Fowler font is useful
for those that want to read his Russian text corpora.
East European Latin Fonts
Apple Standard Fonts. More fonts by Apple Computer as part of their
internationalization project. These fonts will cover most symbols necessary
for Slavic and East European languages using the Latin alphabet. These
are available from Apple's FTP site at "ftp.apple.com".
Here you will find folders for the Czech version of Apple's system software.
If you want to install the full Czech version of System 7, download everything
in this folder. If you want just the fonts, download both the Fonts
disk and the
More Fonts disk. Apple also offers other versions of System 7. Go to
ftp://ftp.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/
for the language you desire.
Keyboards
Cyrillic Keyboards Keyboard layouts
by George Fowler for use with the Apple Standard Cyrillic fonts. Also includes
KMT, a useful utitlity for accessing various keyboards and Apple's keyboard
layouts.
Central European Keyboards
Keyboard layouts by George Fowler for use with the Apple Central European
fonts.
