Stonewall
The New York city riots that started at the Stonewall Inn on June 27, 1969 now know as the Stonewall riots mark the first time that Gay people fought back in modern history. These riots were the beginning of the gay rights movement. June was made gay pride month in honor of these riots. To read more about them please click here
