Spectrum Meeting: July 22nd, 2007
*Future meetings will NOT be held on Sunday… perhaps members should begin thinking about fall meeting time.
*Group needs to put together hand-out to represent group at future events..
-We will put out call today for meeting - next Sunday to work on this. 3:00 pm 231 Conference rm. Campus Activities office.
-Next regular meeting scheduled for August 5th.
~Graduate Student Affair Luncheon – August 18th – Spectrum will have a both. 4 students needed. Two students for table, two for luncheon. Kathryn Bettis (or outlaw rep) will work with group from Outlaw.
~Josh Burford went to Dept of Transportation to confirm our Adopt-A-Mile … confirmed that NO PAPERWORK AS EVER BEEN SUBMITTED by previous SAGA or Spectrum administration. He filed paper work. We will chose mile (possibly along UA). He will also set up Adopt-A-Mile as Community Service so that members can file community service hours.
~SAFEZONE: Campus Activities will get SAFEZONE training.
Future training planned … Counseling Cnt. and Women’s Resource Center, then ALL RA’s on campus.

Mallet dorm working on outreach with other campus groups. Would like to work with us on community activities and invite us to work with them. Hoping to encourage sense of UA community, Mallet moved into Palmer Residence Hall, issued to open invitation to mixers etc.
~Spectrum will co-sponsor with Women’s Resource Cnt. a queer film for Hispanic Latino Heritage Month. More info TBA.
~Hoole Special Collections - First GLBT student group (recognized by UA) Gay Student Union (early 1980s) – former students, faculty and advisors will be donate historical material for special collections. Info will begin to be archived at Hoole by early September, to be housed at Hoole for “Eternity”
