Dickie Cox (a.k.a. Richard C. Cox, III) serves as the primary contact for faculty who are interested in planning course projects that would have students utilize the R&D's resources or who seek media software instruction for small classes. He provides instruction to students in all aspects of media production and is the lead instructor for one-on-one instruction in graphic design, web design, and audio recording.

Administrator and faculty member of the R&D, Cox received his M.F.A. in Design from Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (Richmond,VA) where he also instructed in electronic media and filmmaking. For seven years, he worked as a sound recordist in film production and as an editor/compositing artist in video post-production in the Virginia/Washington DC area. In addition, he has directed and edited over a dozen short films and musical videos.

In addition to his primary duties, he is a professor of record for the UA Department of Art's ART-225, Introduction to Digital Art , and for the UA Honor's College UH-155, Narrative and New Media.
