The University of Alabama,
“A workshop
to provide R&D personnel with state-of-the-art information and a working
knowledge of the chemistry, properties, and applications of ionic liquids,
thus enabling decision making and utilization of these novel materials”
The workshop will provide R&D personnel with state-of-the-art information and a working knowledge of the chemistry, properties, and applications of ionic liquids, thus enabling decision making and utilization of these novel materials. The workshop which will include literature surveys, physical/solvent properties, engineering aspects, IL availability and synthesis, academic and industrial applications, product demonstrations, and hands-on ionic liquid experience.
The workshop will immediately precede the Atlanta ACS meeting and will commence at noon on Thursday March 23 with some of the world’s leading Ionic Liquids researchers and Ionic Liquids suppliers offer tutorials. The workshop will end on Friday evening March 24, allowing a leisurely 3.5 h drive to Atlanta on Saturday.

laboratories located in the Alabama Institute
for Manufacturing Excellence building on The
University of Alabama’s
TIMETABLE
The workshop will begin at noon on Thursday, March 23 and will conclude with a 5:00 pm reception on Friday, March 24. Saturday the 25th will serve as a "travel to Atlanta" day for the IL symposium at the ACS meeting.

Late Registration Fee: $600USD
To reserve space for the workshop, please send your name,
position, and full contact details by email to Whitney Mims. The registration fee of $500 may be paid with a check made
out to “The University of Alabama” and mailed to the workshop office. Contact the workshop office if other
payment arrangements are required.
Included with the registration fee are: all workshop materials and handouts, an optional Wednesday night reception, continental breakfasts and lunches on Thursday and Friday, and the workshop dinner on Thursday.
