I came to The University of Alabama in 1995 after spending three years as an engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. Prior to that, I was a graduate student in the College of Engineering at Auburn University. From 1987 through 1989, I was the Analytical Chemist for Grifftex Chemical Division of West Point-Pepperell.
I hold a B.S. with a major in chemistry and minors in English and Math from Jacksonville State University. I hold an M.S. in aerospace engineering from Auburn University.
My interests are varied, but my most passionate activity is teaching. Although this is only a temporary assignment, my time here at 'Bama has been a very rewarding experience. I was an undergraduate here for a short time, and to return here to teach has been an honor.
I received a temporary appointment to the Graduate Faculty in January 2000.
