ACD chemical structures used in the CH 105 course.

If you are on a College of Arts & Sciences computer in the computer lab in Nott Hall, the ChemSketch software is already installed.  Go to Start>Chemistry>ACD Labs> ChemSketch and double click to launch the software.

If you are attempting to download the ChemSketch software to your own PC, right-click on the software link in the table below to jump to another page with downloading and installation instructions.  Be careful to copy down the Registration Code (case sensitive, all letters are upper case) which you will need to complete the registration.  For the basic installation just follow the on screen instructions and accept the suggested defaults.  At the end of the installation, the InstallWizard says to run setup.exe from the Local Directory for workstation installations.  Ignore this step.

The Table below contains example ChemSketch files used in CH105.  Right click and choose Save As to download the file to your computer.  Do not attempt to just open it with a left click.  Your browser is not equipped to interpret correctly these types of files.
