You will be blogging your Article Summaries assignments for this course. The blogs below are available for your use. (For those of you who would like to use your own public blog to blog the course, please see me for specific instructions on how to tag your blog posts containing article summaries.)

To get to your blog and to complete the set up process, perform the following steps:

  1. Follow the link above to your blog.

  2. Your user name is "admin" (this cannot be changed).

  3. Your initial password is made up of your last name in lower case letters (i.e., no capital letters or punctuation).

  4. Change your password by following the "Users" link that is in the nav bar across the top of the blog page.

  5. At the bottom of the "Users" page will be a place to change your password.

  6. To add your email address, follow the "Options" link that is in the nav bar across the top of the blog page.

  7. About the middle of the "Options" page will be an "E-mail address" field for you to enter your address.

To post a summary, perform the following steps:

  1. Follow the link above to your blog.

  2. Follow the "Login" link on the lower right part of the page.

  3. Enter your users name ("admin") and password.

  4. Follow the "Write" link that is in the nav bar across the top of the blog page.

  5. Type in your summary. You will notice that there is a "spell check" button for you to correct your spelling.

  6. Examine you posting by following the "View site>>" link at the top center of the page.

  7. Click on the "Publish" button to post your summary.

  8. OPTIONAL: if you prefer to compose your summary in MS Word, you may paste the final copy into your blog. HOWEVER, this copy and past procedure may require a cleanup of letters and other characters that are corrupted by the copy and past maneuver, so please read you post after you are finished to double check it.

  9. To return to you blog administration area, "Site Admin" in the lower right hand corner of the blog.

  10. Logout when finished.
